2 Kings 3
Today's Passage: 2 Kings 3
There are a lot of interesting events happening in this chapter. Let’s list them out:
In this passage, we see so much wickedness on display – lying, betrayal, murdering kids, etc. And yet, we also see God displaying grace.
There was no reason for God to help the Israelite army. King Jehoram didn’t follow God. King Jehoshaphat didn’t consult God about helping Jehoram. Only when they were in trouble did they consult Elisha. Jehoram told Elisha, “It is the Lord,” who told them to go against Moab even though there was no mention of that.
Despite all of this, God graciously allows Israel to succeed in battle. And yet, at the end of the battle, there is no praise or thanks given to God.
Are there times in your life where you take for granted God’s grace? When was the last time you acknowledged God for all the things He has provided for you?
