Revelation 21:1-8
Todays Passage: Revelation 21:1-8
When it comes to the Bible bringing hope to any and all circumstances, our passage today is one of the most clear and hopeful you can think of. This is a passage I continually come back to in my own life, in discipleship and counseling, in preaching, because the hope that this passage brings is a promise from God.
It gives us hope that everything broken in our world will be made new. This helps us make sense of all of the suffering we experience right now.
It gives us hope that God is with us and is going to dwell with us forever. This sounds a lot like the restoration of the garden of Eden right? Dwelling with God in a perfect creation that is made new from the brokenness caused by sin?
It gives us hope that God is going to make all the wrong things right. He will wipe the tears caused by sin and suffering from our eyes. He sees your hurt and he will heal it eventually.
We all need anchor points in the Scriptures for us to turn to when life gets hard. This one is arguably one of the best. Read it. Mark it. Meditate on it.
Turn to it over and over again until the promises of this passage find their fulfillment in God’s time.
