Philippians 3:12-21
Today's Passage: Philippians 3:12-21
As I write this, I am almost moved to tears – thankfulness has overwhelmed my heart and it’s because of the truth in verse 12: I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me His own.
If you have a relationship with Jesus, is there anything better than being His? The rest of our passage flows out of verse 12. The reason why we strain for the prize of the upward call is because we are His! The reason we will receive our citizenship in Heaven is because we are His! It all starts because we belong to Him.
There’s a new album I’ve been listening to called “Child of God” by Forrest Frank. Listen to the album, it’s awesome. But the last “song” on the album is a message from Jonathan Pokluda and he’s talking about how we are God’s children. I will post the youtube link below, but as you listen, really focus on what Jonathan is saying. It reminds me so much of verse 12. I even suggest looking up the lyrics as you listen.
