Psalm 75
Today's Passage: Psalm 75
In the world right now, there is a lot of focus on equality. In Psalm 75, God says, “I will judge with equity.†There is a difference in equality and equity. A lot of people believe God is going to judge the world with equality. Basically meaning, it doesn’t matter how much you messed up or if you came into a relationship with Jesus or not, God will let you into Heaven. But that’s not the case.
For God to judge with equity means He will judge with fairness. The conclusion of Him judging with equity: the wicked will receive punishment; the righteous will receive eternal life (v. 10).
The Bible tells us in Romans 6:23, “For the wages of sin is death.†Those who do not have a relationship with Jesus, deserve death. God will rightly give them what they deserve. Romans 6:23 says, “But the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.†Those who accept the free gift from God will receive eternal life.
So while the world might be screaming about equality, we need to instead tell them about equity and their need for a Savior.
