Esther 7

Today's Passage: Esther 7

We are at the heart of the dramatic story of Esther’s attempt to save the Jewish people.

This is like the grand reveal of all the facts in any great novel or story:

  • Esther reveals that she is a Jew, and therefore, the king (unknowingly) arranged for the death of his queen that he loves.
  • The king realizes that it is Haman who manipulated him into this situation.
  • Justice is executed as Haman is the one who will hang from the gallows, not Mordecai.

Because God used Esther, the Jewish people were saved. Because the Jewish people were saved, the line that would eventually lead to the Messiah Jesus continued.

Even though God’s name is not mentioned in this book, his sovereignty is unmistakable.
