Today, I want to take some time and have you work through some questions that are inspired by this verse. Get out your journal and a pen and allow God to examine your heart (Ps. 139).

5 Only be very careful to observe the commandment and the law that Moses the servant of the LORD commanded you, to love the LORD your God, and to walk in all his ways and to keep his commandments and to cling to him and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.
Today, I want to take some time and have you work through some questions that are inspired by this verse. Get out your journal and a pen and allow God to examine your heart (Ps. 139).
- Observe: How is your regular time with God through reading the Bible going? Better yet, how’s your heart toward it? Is it more delight or drudgery?
- Love: Is your time in God’s Word growing your love for God? Or is it just a mental exercise?
- Walk: How are you applying what you are reading? How is it changing how you think? How you feel? What you do and say?
- Keep: What areas of your life are you obeying God? In what areas do you need to repent and ask God’s help to change?
- Cling: Are you desperately dependent on God? Are you taking your concerns to him in prayer? Are you trusting in the Lord with all your heart?
- Serve: Do you see serving God your #1 priority, no matter what your occupation is? What are some ways that you can use your gifts to build up the body of Christ this week?
