Joshua 21
Today’s Passage: Joshua 21
Today we read about the tribe of Levi being distributed throughout the land. They did not have an inheritance of land as their inheritance was the Lord. So they were distributed throughout the land to minister to the people. It was kind of like spreading out local pastors to lead and shepherd the people of the land. God always thinks ahead. He knew that we needed leaders to point us to him. No, our leaders are not perfect. But leaders are called by God to help you know and follow God. This is what He was doing when distributing the tribe of Levi.
The end of Joshua 21 is a beautiful testament to God’s FAITHFULNESS. Simply put, God follows through...
1) God gave them all the land that He swore to them.
2) God gave them rest in the promised land.
3) God gave them all their enemies into their hands.
4) God followed through on all of His promises.
God has not changed. He is still faithful. He is still good. He still follows through. As we read promises of Scripture we can still be confident that God will bring those to pass to His glory. Amen!
