Deuteronomy 3:21-29

Today’s Passage: Deuteronomy 3:21-29

There is so much in this passage. There is heartbreak. There is hope. There is everything in between. We learn about God here.

God had commanded them to go to the promised land and take it. But Moses had forfeited his opportunity when He sinned in Numbers 20 & 27 (take it up with God not me)! You can feel the heartbreak in his plea to the Lord today.

It made me think of Hebrews 11:13 - “13 These all died in faith, not having received the things promised, but having seen them and greeted them from afar, and having acknowledged that they were strangers and exiles on the earth.”

God allowed him today to see it from afar. To stand up on the mountain and see it with his eyes. Isn’t this sometimes how we feel in life? A couple thoughts for you today...

1) We won’t always see the promised land but can trust God anyways.

2) When you raise up leaders, kids, and others we prepare for a good future -
plus it's our God given responsibility.

3) God is present and fighting for you.

4) Leave a legacy that prepares others for the future.

5) Beg God to see the promised land but trust Him no matter what.

I pray this encourages you and meets you where you are and encourages you no matter what you are walking through today. You have a God you can trust. Whether you see the promised land or not - Your God is for you.
