Isaiah 65-66

Today's Passage: Isaiah 65-66
As we end Isaiah, there is so much that could be said about chapters 65-66. There could be sermons and books written about all of what is happening. We could spend time debating on what certain things mean. Instead, I want us to focus on something more, something greater – God Himself.
I am amazed at His love for His people (65:1-2 – the welcoming of Gentiles).
I am amazed at His grace to not kill all who are wicked instantly (all of us).
I am amazed at His promise-keeping hope of restoration (65:17-18).
I am amazed at His transcendence (He is not bound by anything).
I am amazed at His care for us (65:19-25)
I am amazed at His majesty (66:1-2b)
I am amazed at His mercy for those seeking Him (66:2b)
I am amazed at His joy and how it extends to us (66:10-11, 14)
I am amazed at His comfort (66:12-13)
I am amazed at His justice (66:15-24)
These are just 10 ways I am amazed by God in Isaiah 65-66. I probably even missed some. As I think about it, I am blown away that the God of the universe wants a relationship with me. I didn’t earn it and I definitely don’t deserve it. But today, I want to be thankful for who God is and what He has done for me. And I long for the day when I get to see His face and be with Him forever.
What did you learn about God through the book of Isaiah? How did it make you love Him more?
