Exodus 38

Today's Passage: Exodus 38

When I read passages like this, it seems like my mind can’t keep up. I mean, have
you ever tried to put together a toy after Christmas? Can you remember how hard it
was to follow those directions? Now think about the detail and the directions they
followed in making things like:

● The Altar of Burnt Offering
● Bronze Basin
● The Court
● The Tabernacle

When I read passages like this, I am so thankful for the cross that Jesus bore and the
empty tomb!

They needed these things because they could not come confidently before the throne
of God. Because of Jesus, now we can.

We no longer have to sacrifice animals to cover our sin and mediate our relationship
with God.

“18 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he
might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit,” 1
Peter 3:18

“For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man
Christ Jesus,” 1 Timothy 2:5

Take a second to think about all that has changed because of the cross. Take a
minute to thank Jesus for His life, death, resurrection and ask Him to help you walk
in the confidence the gospel brings today!
