Psalm 45

Psalm 45 spends verses 1-5 addressing a king in the line of David and God’s kingship in verse 6:
Your throne, O God, is forever and ever.
The scepter of your kingdom is a scepter of uprightness;
This is great reminder for us that God is the one who is in ultimate control and authority. Every “king” or ruler that is put in place is put their for the purpose of God’s blessing, whether or not that ruler leads in a way that brings about that purpose or not.
Is God your true, functional king? Does he dictate your decisions on a daily basis?
Allow the truth of God’s kingship lead you to take stock of your own life, and lead you to choosing God’s gracious rule and reign today!
