Psalm 33 exhibits multiple examples of the greatness and glory of God. We see that:
God is worthy of our:
God is:
What an amazing God that is revealed in this Psalm!
But there is another thread that we see throughout: the steadfast love of God endures forever.
Steadfast love appears 127 times throughout the book of Psalms.
What’s the point? Don’t miss the love of God for the glory and holiness of God. God’s gloriousness and holiness make the fact that he steadfastly loves us that much more confounding and extraordinary.
The Bible has no problem with these being completely true and interchangeable, but how often do we subtly seek to substitute them? Either God is more loving than holy, and therefore, our sin doesn’t really matter. Or, God is more holy than loving, and there is no way a holy God could ever love someone who “did something like that.”
Lean into both the glory and holiness of God, as well as his steadfast love toward sinners through Jesus Christ.
