Proverbs 4

Proverbs 4
Who is the writer and to whom is he writing?
Not everyone had a good or godly father who spoke wisdom into their lives, but Proverbs gives us biblical example of one. In this chapter the father is imploring his son to heed his words and pursue wisdom.
How many times does this passage reference God?
There are no clear references to God in this chapter, so what is the father calling his son to follow/emulate? (1,4,10,12-13,20-22)
He’s calling his son to follow him and his words. There is a model of discipleship happening in this chapter. The father is walking close enough with his son so that the son will follow in his footsteps.
Who is walking close enough with you that they can speak into your life?
Whose life are you speaking into? (1 Cor 1:11)

Proverbs 4 is such a good passage. I like verse 18 "The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day." Both Proverbs and Psalms are such great books for me with scriptures for every day life!
Looking forward to connect groups and able to find an accountability partner. I need to find someone who can speak into my life on a weekly basis or daily basis right now it is Pastor Toney on a weekly basis. Thank you ðŸ™
