Revelation 20

November Memory Verse: "Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone  hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with them, and they with me." Revelation 3:20 (NIV)

Revelation 20

HAPPY THANKSGIVING! I hope everyone has a great day!

There are two things in this passage to be thankful for.

1. The second death has no power to those who have trusted in the redemptive work of Jesus (v. 6). Verse 6, in the ESV, reads, “Blessed and holy is the one who shares in the first resurrection! Over such the second death has no power…”. There is eternal security when we have a relationship with Jesus. Such a great reminder!

2. Satan will forever be defeated (v. 7-10). This is the fulfillment to the promise in Genesis 3:15. Jesus has the victory over Satan!

But I also want to touch on verses 11-15. These verses are such a great reminder as to why evangelism is so important. One day, everyone will stand before God and give an account for the things they have done. If someone’s name is not in the Book of Life, they are cast out. But for everyone who’s name is in the Book of Life, they will spend eternity with God.

Use this Thanksgiving day to tell family members and friends about the truth of Jesus!
